Gilberto is a multi-instrumentalist hailing from New York City. He was honored as "Musician of the Year 2017" by the Boys Club of NYC.

​

This native New Yorker comes from a musical family with roots in the Caribbean and Italy.

 

In 2018 he won both critical and audience praise while touring the country as Freddy, the drummer,

in the First National Tour of Broadway’s School of Rock_The Musical.. 

​

In 2019 Gilberto was a part of the new musical    

"Last days of Summer" cast playing the role of Chucky Margolis. Special Thanks to Tara-Rubin Casting and Mom & Dad for their support.

 

In 2020 Gilberto won “Best Male Actor” at the DYCD Film Festival In NYC.

​

Recently he was one of the winners selected at

"The Queens Streaming Winter JazzFest Competition". 

 

Spring 2021: Gilberto just got accepted to Juilliard Music School’s Pre-College program for young & talented musicians and performed at "Restart Stages" at Lincoln Center, NYC. 

He performs regularly with his band at the legendary Bitter End in NYC’s Greenwich Village and ShapeShifter-Lab in Brooklyn, NYC

Summer 2022 and 2023 Gilberto joined conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (YOLA).
 YOLA connects young musicians from diverse regions across the country and provides them with world-class music instruction, as well as an opportunity to work and perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles with celebrated conductor, Gustavo Dudamel.

Summer 2024 Gilberto will be joining Summer Jazz Academy @ Jazz Lincoln Center.
Fall 2024 Gilberto will be heading to Berklee College of Music with Full Merit Scholarship.

Gilberto Moretti-Hamilton said. “As percussionists, we have to play as one—we have to feel the same pulse, the same rhythm, the same feeling. Being in person and being able to see the person right next to you and play together—we were able to communicate and connect.”

Gilberto
